Brooks Addiction and Mental Health Community Services

The Brooks Community Mental Health Clinic is located within the Brooks Health Centre at 440 3 Street E, Brooks, Alberta.

Assessment and treatment will include learning about your past history, present situation, and identifying your goals. The counsellor will talk with you about the different treatment options, including counselling to help you reach your goals. Your counsellor will help you choose goals and strategies, make suggestions, and review your progress with you. A children’s counsellor is also available by appointment, to see ages 5 and up.

Programs Offered

10 Keys to Happiness:
For individuals who experience mental health, addiction or chronic illness concerns and would like to learn about the 10 keys to happier living. This group meets every Wednesday from 1:30 – 2:30pm at the Brooks Health Centre in the Outpatient Conference room near Living Healthy.

Common Grounds Coffee Time:
Come visit, meet new people, enjoy recreational activities and participate in learning activities focused on improving your mental health. This group meets every Tuesday from 1 – 3pm at The Leisure Centre.

Anxiety & Depression Learning Series:
This program is currently on hold
For individuals looking to obtain information on managing anxiety and depression. This series consists of 6 rotating presentations that cover topics such as assertiveness, self-talk, and lifestyle changes. This group meets every Monday from 12:00 – 1:00pm at the Brooks Health Centre in the Outpatient Conference Room near Healthy Living.
